The solution
Identity verification is an important measure to prevent and detect fraud in the payment ecosystem. Thanks to our partnership with Onfido, your customers can now use facial recognition to verify their identity when completing our onboarding forms.
Enhanced security: Biometric ID verification is considered one of the most secure identification methods since it uses the person’s unique physical characteristics to verify their identity and to prove they are who they say they are. This can help reduce the risk of identity theft and fraud.
Speed and convenience: Where our service provider Onfido is used, the process is fully automated and your customer’s image will be checked and validated swiftly.
Improved user experience: Verifying the customer's identity at an early stage can make the onboarding process smoother and more efficient.
How it works
Customer submitting their own onboarding application form
If a customer (individual or director) is submitting their own onboarding application form, they will have to verify their identity using biometric verification to prove they are who they say they are.
1. Fill out the customer onboarding form details

2. Submit and continue to Identity verification
3. Identity verification – this is a 2-step process:
i) Provide your ID document
Upload your ID document via your mobile device or desktop computer. If the upload was done using a desktop, scan the QR code with your mobile device.
ii) Verify that you are the owner of the ID document.
Take a quick video with your mobile device for facial recognition moving your face from side to side. See the video below for more information.
4. All done - Your details will be processed and an analyst will reach out to confirm when the application is decisioned.
Note: If a customer encounters an issue at the biometric verification step, we will still have all their submitted details. In these circumstances, we will request an image of them holding their ID document next to their face.

Customer submitting the onboarding application form on behalf of a director
Authorized persons/employees submitting corporate forms on behalf of their company directors will be given the option on the form to select which director will complete the ID verification check. Upon for submission, a link will be sent out directly to the chosen director to complete their biometric ID verification with a video.
