Welcome to our transfers help center article. The information provided below should tell you everything you need to know about how to use our Currencycloud transfers functionality.
What is a transfer?
Transfers allows you to easily manage the movement of funds between a Currencycloud house account and a sub account, or vice-versa.
Can I make a transfer between Currencycloud sub accounts?
No - you can only make a transfer between a house account and a sub account, or the other way round. Sub-to-sub transfers are currently not permitted.
Are there any other instances where I can’t make a transfer?
Yes, you can’t make a transfer to or from a disabled account.
Which currencies can I use to make a transfer?
You can make a transfer in any of our supported currencies, apart from restricted ones (INR, IDR, MYR and PHP).
How many decimal places do transfers support for currencies?
Up to two decimal places are supported.
How do I search for a transfer via the Currencycloud platform?
You can search for an account to transfer funds to or from an account via the “Search” tab on Direct.
Please be aware that you can only search via the account name and can't search for a transfer via the account reference.
How do I cancel a transfer?
If you’d like to cancel a transfer which hasn’t yet been completed, check out the steps below for both API and Currencycloud Direct users:
- If you’re using our API: simply make a call to our /balance_transfers/:id/cancel endpoint. Check out our API documentation for more details on this.
- If you’re using the Direct platform: go to the “Search” tab to find the transfer using the transfer ID. If it’s still pending and you have the “Write transfers” permission, then you’ll find a button saying “Cancel Transfer”.
